The Fukuoka
City Public Library Film Archive, established in 1996 and an affiliate
member of FIAF (the International Federation of Film Archives) since
2004, collects Japanese and other Asian films in addition to its primary
collection of local and regional visual material. The Film Archive,
in addition to preserving its 800+ collection in a 3 stage film vault
and exhibiting its collection at its Movie Hall Cine-la, also operates
a variety of other facilities and services. Details on the film archive
